Fellowship

The commission works to provide opportunities for members of the parish and newcomers to the parish to get to know one another and become friends. As a healthy congregational body, the members of the church know and enjoy each other. As friendships develop, members are better able to minister to one another and to share with one another in spiritual growth and service to the community. Opportunities and social events provided by the commission members include weekly Sunday morning coffee hour and special Sunday receptions. The commission is also charged with such annual events as the parish picnic, Summer Cheers, and pig roast.

During the summer, join us for Lemonade on the Lawn following the 10 am service.

The Annual Pig Roast is one of the most popular annual fellowship gatherings at St. Matthias'.

Summer Cheers is held three Friday evenings each summer. It is a gathering for the adult members of the church to socialize and swim or play tennis. Also during the summer, Family Cheers provides an opportunity for the entire family to get together to swim, play games, eat ice cream, sip lemonade and just generally have a good time.

ECW (Episcopal Church Women) meets monthly in homes for fellowship and service projects for the church and community.
